OUR DAY AT THE BUNTING RANCH

Al Bunting is a retired Brigadier General who served at the highest levels of the Kansas Air National Guard as well as Air National Guard Chief of Staff in Washington. His ranch near Burlingame, Kansas lays in rolling hills filled with bluestem and brome hay.

Al and Toni maintain a lovely ranch and are enjoying life together.  Their country hospitality and genuine affection for people is beyond description.  We spent most of our day there and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We rode in Al's wagon to Scranton for lunch; a distance of approximately 8 miles round trip and had a great lunch of fried chicken at the Scranton Cafe.

Our resident Urban Cowboy, Dandy Don (from New York City) spent much of the afternoon on horseback ... a feat he had not done in over 44 years.  Don is the one on top although we took bets that wouldn't last long.

Al and Toni are real people ... Americans we are proud to know.  Deeply patriotic and family oriented. Their pre-teen grandchildren prepared this Halloween Display with no assistance or guidance. It sits at the entrance to the house and the Buntings are proud of their grandchildren's work.  It seemed to us that they have every right to be proud of the kids.
