"COUNCIL OF CHIEFS"
The council is a group of retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeants (both Active Duty, Air National Guard and Reserve) who get together to enjoy life and the camaraderie that typically exists in a military organization. The Chiefs shown here represent almost 500 years of military experience and more than 7 centuries of life experience.
Each has achieved significant success in his military career and in post-military civilian occupation. By law, only 1% of the Air Force population may hold the grade of Chief Master Sergeant. To achieve this level of rank one must be an extraordinary individual and possess the strength and character to lead men and women under extremely difficult circumstances. No words describe a Chief Master Sergeant better than the Chief's Creed and the Council of Chiefs epitomizes that creed.
The individual members of the Council have also distinguished themselves in civilian occupations and in private business. Members have held management positions in large corporations and some have owned and operated their own businesses. Each has his own specific expertise and is eager to share that knowledge with others to the greater benefit of the community. The wisdom and skills of these individuals are available to all those who seek sound advice and practical assistance.
We actively engage the community and our elected representatives at Local, State and National levels to stimulate fundamental beliefs regarding patriotism and the equality of each and every citizen. We seek to reward hard work and dedication to the principles upon which our country was founded. We acknowledge that problems exist in our society and we pledge our efforts to help those with the desire and fortitude to help themselves.
We meet on Thursday mornings to discuss and explore various topics of interest. These topics include current global events, government affairs, economics & finance, computers & applications, military affairs, and community events. In the afternoon we take short trips (50-250 miles) to explore interesting areas and meet the true Americans who make our country work. We invite you to view a few of those experiences.
