Hook-A-Kid on Golf Program

The members of The Council of Chiefs involve themselves in a number of community support efforts.  Among them is the Derby Recreation Center's "Hook-A-Kid on golf program.  Each year upwards of 40 kids sign up with the DRC for a week long series of lessons on the game of golf.

Sponsors are sought to defray the cost.  Each kid is provided with a golf bag containing several clubs.  In addition he or she is given instructions on how to play the game, technique, course courtesy and protocol.  They also enjoy free range balls for one year at Hidden Lakes Golf Course.  At the end of the week long program the sponsors are invited to play a round of golf with "their kid".  This year we are proud to have sponsored and played golf with "our" kids.
